Dr. Yaseen Makhzan is dedicated to helping patients feel confident in their smiles and in the care they receive along the way. His approach combines careful analysis, transparent communication and a sincere interest in each person who enters the practice.
He believes a strong orthodontic result begins well before an appliance is placed. It begins by listening closely, studying the complete clinical picture and creating a plan that accounts for both immediate needs and long-term stability.
Dr. Makhzan earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University. He then completed advanced specialty training in orthodontics, developing the focused knowledge required to diagnose and treat tooth alignment, bite and jaw development concerns.
While gaining experience as an associate, he built Makhzan Orthodontics around the values he considers essential: direct doctor involvement, individualized planning, and honest communication.

As a former regional chess champion, Dr. Makhzan learned to look beyond the next move and consider how individual decisions fit into a larger plan.
He brings that same thoughtful approach to orthodontics. When developing a treatment plan, he considers how your teeth align, how your bite fits together, and how the result will be maintained. Each recommendation is made with your individual needs and the overall treatment goals in mind.
Patients should not have to guess what is happening in treatment. Dr. Makhzan explains options in approachable language and makes space for questions. If he anticipates a possible challenge at the end of treatment, he wants the patient or parent to understand it at the beginning.
This transparency helps families make informed choices and gives patients a clear role in keeping treatment on track.
Dr. Makhzan remains engaged with current orthodontic techniques and technology through continuing education and self-improvement. His goal is not to use something simply because it is new. He evaluates whether it adds meaningful precision, comfort, efficiency or value for the patient.
Outside orthodontics, Dr. Makhzan enjoys chess, boxing, staying active, and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys getting to know the people and families he treats and building connections beyond conversations about their teeth.
Dr. Makhzan speaks English and Farsi and welcomes patients from a wide range of backgrounds.
